Resort Reviews Can Help You Choose

If you’re thinking about traveling to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, I came across some Myrtle Beach resort reviews that might help you decide on where to stay.

October 19, 2011 — We had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at the Caravelle — at the Santa Maria restaurant. The food was great and the staff provided excellent service — at a very reasonable price! We stayed at the hotel and so did most of our out of town guests. I received very favorable comments from the guests who stayed there and everyone was pleased about the amenities offered in the room and the hotel in general — again at a very reasonable price. The sales and event coordinators were very accommodating in providing exactly what we needed for our rehearsal dinner. I would highly recommend the Caravelle for special events and weekend getaways.

August 21, 2011 — Our oceanfront efficiency was just perfect! The kitchenette was just what we needed. Four outdoor pools to choose from, plus an indoor pool and hot tub. Location near enough to the boardwalk that you can walk there. Some reviews mention unfriendly check in staff, and while they were not overly friendly, they were courteous and helpful and no complaints. Housekeeping and maintenance staff very friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick, and we arrived a little early and we were able to check in. IDK what some of these negative reviewers are looking for, but maybe they need to put out a little more cash ...for the price, this place is excellent!

September 6, 2011 — Stayed here with family for a few days. To begin with, the staff is fantastic. Everyone we encountered was super friendly and always helpful. The location of the resort is ideal and close to everything. Myrtle Beach is a perfect for families with so much to do. Our room was just right for the four of us. It was just what we expected with a great view and very clean and tidy. I was quite comfortable with my entire stay. There were a lot of people everywhere we went, but all the amenities catered to everyone very well. Breakfast was delicious and our favorite part was cocktails on the patio! Can't wait for the family to return soon!!

Myrtle Beach Fishing Can't be Beat

Myrtle Beach fishingIf you’re hoping to take a Myrtle Beach fishing trip to South Carolina, I have an experience to share with you of the time last year when my family went.

Myrtle Beach fishing is at its finest when you take a fishing charter boat like we did from Shallow Minded Inshore Guide Service that is operated by Capt. Mark. He knew his stuff and supplied everything we needed for the half day that we went out. From rods and reels to the ice chest to put our catch in, he was prepared. He even had fishing licenses for those among us that required one and for the little ones, he had patience galore and plenty of instruction on how to catch fish.

It was a truly priceless experience for our two small children as it was their first time out on a boat and first time fishing. Fishing the inlets was preferable to the big ocean for that same reason. His boat was a perfect size for our family and his personality and good nature was extremely appreciated. We learned a lot about the habits of fish, about the waters around Myrtle Beach, and his life growing up in South Carolina. I think after this Myrtle Beach fishing experience, my son wants to be fishing charter captain when he grows up. Can’t say as I blame him. Sure seems like an awesome livelihood to me!

Exploring Arts and Culture in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach condosTravelers looking to explore arts and culture in the Myrtle Beach area are never disappointed. Along with its gorgeous beaches, Myrtle Beach has a lot of arts and cultural destinations for tourists to enjoy, all just a short distance from Myrtle Beach condos.

Planning a vacation around the arts is a wonderful way to experience the area to its fullest. There are a number of galleries and museums displaying the work of local artists. It’s a wonderful way to get a look into the culture of the area.

One of these galleries is Howard Gallery. This is the oldest gallery in Myrtle Beach. It has been here for over 30 years. Howard Gallery features the artwork of more than 10 local award-winning artists. The gallery also displays some works of those who are virtually unknown. This is a great place to find a beautiful souvenir to take home or it can also provide gifts for special occasions.

Art lovers will want to visit the Franklin G. Burroughs and Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum. This museum provides not only art, but various other exhibits. Portraits of famous local individuals enhance the history of this part of South Carolina. Tours are provided available, and can offer insight into the culture of the area.

Visitors will see valued collections, as well as, fabulous displays. Families with young children may be interested in the Children's Museum in Myrtle Beach. This location takes into consideration the young at heart, and provides interesting displays that are quite intriguing. You’ll be close enough here to your Myrtle Beach condos in case the younger (or older) travelers need a little downtime in the afternoon.

Some vacationers will want to experience local musical and theater offerings. Broadway at the Park is a perfect place to visit for this. Here you will be able to see great productions and live performances. It is a wonderful opportunity to sample some of the local talent, plus get a cultural kick at the same time.

The Music Park is another location that provides many different kinds of musical talents and groups for visitors to enjoy. Getting a listing of events is a good way to know what's available during your vacation. It is important to note that Myrtle Beach often hosts special festivals of their own. Ask about it when you check into your Myrtle Beach condos.

Myrtle Beach Country Music

Myrtle Beach Country MusicDid you know that Myrtle Beach is an absolute paradise teeming with activities, festivals, flea markets and, of course, scintillating beaches? Well I know you knew that last one. If you’re planning a trip to South Carolina’s finest coastal community, you’ll want to check out the Myrtle Beach Country Music scene when visiting Myrtle Beach.

This sounds obvious, but few vacationers realize just how much there is to enjoy on the shores of the Grand Strand. If you love surfing, you can hit the waves with your board or give windsurfing a try. But when you come in off the beaches go check out the boardwalk, see the new Sky Wheel Myrtle Beach and hear some Myrtle Beach Country Music.

Music is a central part of the Myrtle Beach experience. There are tons of quaint venues that provide entertainment from local musicians. The Bowery is one you won’t want to miss. It’s right on the boardwalk too. Country music lovers will find an amazing show no matter what time of the year you visit. Also in the area — the Carolina Opry features an ongoing variety show that blends singers, dancers and comedians into one night of unforgettable, country-fused entertainment. Visit Legends in Concert if you want to relive classic shows performed by world-class impersonators.
