Resort Reviews Can Help You Choose

If you’re thinking about traveling to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, I came across some Myrtle Beach resort reviews that might help you decide on where to stay.

October 19, 2011 — We had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at the Caravelle — at the Santa Maria restaurant. The food was great and the staff provided excellent service — at a very reasonable price! We stayed at the hotel and so did most of our out of town guests. I received very favorable comments from the guests who stayed there and everyone was pleased about the amenities offered in the room and the hotel in general — again at a very reasonable price. The sales and event coordinators were very accommodating in providing exactly what we needed for our rehearsal dinner. I would highly recommend the Caravelle for special events and weekend getaways.

August 21, 2011 — Our oceanfront efficiency was just perfect! The kitchenette was just what we needed. Four outdoor pools to choose from, plus an indoor pool and hot tub. Location near enough to the boardwalk that you can walk there. Some reviews mention unfriendly check in staff, and while they were not overly friendly, they were courteous and helpful and no complaints. Housekeeping and maintenance staff very friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick, and we arrived a little early and we were able to check in. IDK what some of these negative reviewers are looking for, but maybe they need to put out a little more cash ...for the price, this place is excellent!

September 6, 2011 — Stayed here with family for a few days. To begin with, the staff is fantastic. Everyone we encountered was super friendly and always helpful. The location of the resort is ideal and close to everything. Myrtle Beach is a perfect for families with so much to do. Our room was just right for the four of us. It was just what we expected with a great view and very clean and tidy. I was quite comfortable with my entire stay. There were a lot of people everywhere we went, but all the amenities catered to everyone very well. Breakfast was delicious and our favorite part was cocktails on the patio! Can't wait for the family to return soon!!

Myrtle Beach Fishing Can't be Beat

Myrtle Beach fishingIf you’re hoping to take a Myrtle Beach fishing trip to South Carolina, I have an experience to share with you of the time last year when my family went.

Myrtle Beach fishing is at its finest when you take a fishing charter boat like we did from Shallow Minded Inshore Guide Service that is operated by Capt. Mark. He knew his stuff and supplied everything we needed for the half day that we went out. From rods and reels to the ice chest to put our catch in, he was prepared. He even had fishing licenses for those among us that required one and for the little ones, he had patience galore and plenty of instruction on how to catch fish.

It was a truly priceless experience for our two small children as it was their first time out on a boat and first time fishing. Fishing the inlets was preferable to the big ocean for that same reason. His boat was a perfect size for our family and his personality and good nature was extremely appreciated. We learned a lot about the habits of fish, about the waters around Myrtle Beach, and his life growing up in South Carolina. I think after this Myrtle Beach fishing experience, my son wants to be fishing charter captain when he grows up. Can’t say as I blame him. Sure seems like an awesome livelihood to me!
